Research Description This project aims to develop, optimize and validate analytical methodologies for establishing the occurrence, levels and formation of haloacetic acids, chlorides and bromides in the local drinking water supplies. The findings of this project will be useful to water providers and relevant government agencies in developing measures to prevent, if not eliminate, the formation of harmful disinfection by-products in drinking water and ensure safe potable water for human consumption.
