Research Description The information that will be gained in this project will be of help in determining the applicability and sensitivity of the measured biomarkers for the determination of domestic and livestock effluent contamination of freshwater resources by local environmental monitoring programs. A technical bulletin that aims to target a variety of readers will be developed for dissemination of the information on the utility of these biomarkers as well as the protocol used. A potential offshoot of this project is the development of an ELISA kit that can be used locally for vitellogenin analysis.
