Research Location Mt Banahaw
Research Description By identifying the diet of non-native rats/shrews, their impact on our native and endemic species can be inferred. Information gained can be used to design conservation strategies for our native/endemic species
Research Objectives To determine the gut contents of non-native rats or shrews at various elevational gradients along Mt. Banahaw; to infer possible impact on wildlife species in Mt. Banahaw.
Research Beneficiary(ies)
Research Accoplishments Collection in Bukidnon and North Cotabato yielded seven materials of which, three species are not yet represented in previous collections, 50 out of 120 materials were properly preserved, photo documentation of host plants, nature of damage, adults and immature youngs of five economically important species. Continue photo documentation of host plants, nature of damage, adults and immature youngs of five economically important species
